Lakeland Vision Eye-Con

About Us

Founded by Mr. Gerard Ainsworth (affectionately known as Ged) in 2007, Lakeland Vision started as so many good things do, as a discussion around the kitchen table, fueled by a desire to do things differently – better.

Over a decade later and his forensic attention to detail coupled with a bedside manner from a bygone era means that Ged has established a reputation as an outstanding and highly-respected ophthalmic surgeon of international note. At our clinic, while our facilities are cutting edge and our services and treatments arguably ahead of the curve, the care we offer our patients is driven by ‘old-school’, more traditional values.

We hark back to a time when doctors and patients had time to talk; Ged wears a suit every day as presentation matters; he takes time to listen to people – no ‘conveyor belts’ here, compassion and integrity are doctor’s orders. In short, we take pride in our work and are proudly and unashamedly just a little bit old-fashioned in our approach – but for the very best reasons.
